# Domain of One Variable Function – A function to the power of a function – Exercise 2466

Exercise

Determine the domain of the function:

$$f(x)={(-x)}^x$$

$$x<0$$

Solution

Let’s find the domain of the function:

$$f(x)={(-x)}^x$$

We have a case of a function in the power of another function. In this case, we require the base to be positive

$$-x>0$$

and we get that the final answer is

$$x<0$$
